If you look hard enough you may even catch a glimpse of Keiron C actually doing some work ? Our local representative on this day is none other than Rockinghorse Records, which also happens to be this week’s Social Club feature in issue #1056. This issue also features the history of recorded music and insights from store employees to international crate digging, all passionately written from those that have been there and been a part of it. This isn’t a one off thing either, it has been happening all over the world since 2007, and this year it lands tomorrow, Saturday 16 April. Record store day is all about getting down to your independent (no, not JB or Wow) music store to check out limited releases, live instore music and signings, generally mingle with like minded music geeks and most importantly, showing the store some love. May you live on in waiting rooms, toilets and my work lunch room forever!įor those of you who barely own a handful of cds and have either “bought” online or “borrowed” your friends “back up” hard drive for all your music then you probably wont get it, but you may also not get leaving the house or human interaction :p Till then, peace out 3D you will be sadly missed. When one person farts another will open a window… or something like that.Ĭheck out the breaking news of “ THREE” here which will take our humble mag into new international territory! It has been branded as Australia’s first free iPad magazine with supporting iPad reader app.

The bigger news is the editorial team isn’t going to go quiet into the night, they’ve mustered wisdom and insight from business cat and montage like inspiration from courage wolf and are already conjuring up a new monthly magazine expanding from the music base into a full fledged culture and lifestyle publication. But all is not lost! The consolation is some features of 3D World will be integrated into local sister publications, in Brisbane, being Time Off. Sadly, the digital medium juggernaut and supporting devices continue to steam roll, what some would say, the soul out of the arts. It is with a heavy heart that not only we lose an inspirational and creative business collaborator but also an informative and quality weekly read. As of a couple weeks ago, 3D World magazine’s final issue ever hit the streets, not just in Brisbane but across the country. It’s a sign of the times when you see print media going the way of the music stores.
